After graduating from Cambridge of England in 1972 I emigrated to Houston, Texas in 1973. I worked for a major oil company for several years before I branched out into a career in real estate. I own several investment properties and have been helping individuals buy and sell real estate in Houston for many years. During this time I have seen Houston grow from being the capital of the oil and gas industry (which it still is) into a booming international city with a multifaceted, diversified economy where every industry in the world is represented.

Texas is geographically larger than many countries in the world; this explains why the cost of both residential and commercial real estate is comparatively low (Remember the basic law of economics? Supply and demand dictate price). The supply of land in Texas is abundant, but demand has been steadily rising over the years as more and more people and businesses are relocating to Houston. The current global economic crisis makes this the ideal time to invest in real estate because prices and interest rates are low. Now is the time to take advantage of this window of opportunity.
